BestEver.com is the Web site of ProSe Associates, Inc. (PAI). Based in the Denver, Colorado suburb of Highlands Ranch, PAI was founded in 1991 to provide consumers with useful and easy-to-understand information about their rights and remedies in the marketplace. PAI has provided hundreds of articles on consumer topics for web sites such as FamilyNetUSA.com, GuidanceResources.com, USLAW.com and others. It also publishes books and provides content for publishers and software companies, including Do-It-Yourself Lawyer for Expert Software, Home Lawyer for Meca Software, and Judge Wapner's Family Legal Guide for Time-Life Books.

     PAI's founder and President is Joe Mierzwa, an attorney, author, educator and consumer advocate. In the 1980s, Joe was General Counsel and Director of Communication Projects for Hyatt Legal Services, which at the time was the nation's largest law firm. For the past 16 years, he's been writing and speaking about how to avoid consumer problems and practical solutions for problems that do occur. Books, software, and audio cassette programs he's written or edited have sold more than two million copies. He's been a consultant on consumer law for publishers including Time-Life, Reader's Digest, Media Resources International, and others.

     In early 2002, PAI began collecting data on American businesses in order to find the very best companies serving the nation's consumers. The results of this research form the basis of the BestEver.com Web Site.

     "For years, I've been warning consumers about the shady dealings, deceptive practices and outright fraud that the country's worst companies have often been guilty of," Joe says. "But after the terrorist attacks of September 2001, I decided that I wanted to shift my focus to the many companies that do things right. I wanted to let consumers know about the great American companies that are honest, provide quality products and services, and treat consumers well."

     More than one year and thousands of hours of research later, BestEver.com was launched to bring that message to America and the rest of the world.
