BestEver.com Names Landry's Restaurants Best Seafood Restaurant Chain In America BestEver.com has selected Landry's Restaurants as the nation's best seafood restaurant chain for 2003-2004. According to Joe Mierzwa, President of BestEver.com and its parent company ProSe Associates, Inc., "Landry's restaurants were selected for the quality and variety of their menu items, as well as their attention to service and cleanliness." Landry's operates more than 190 restaurants under various names, including Landry's Seafood House, Joe's Crab Shack, Willie G's, Charley's Crab, The Crab House, and Chart House. The company also operates several steak houses, Mexican restaurants, and the Rainforest Cafés, which were not considered in this study. "Because the company uses different names and themes for its restaurants, consumers may not always be aware that they're dining in a Landry's restaurant," Mierzwa noted. "But when consumer responses are added up, Landry's outdistanced their national competitors." Menu prices weren't a big factor in Landry's ranking, Mierzwa stated. "On the whole, prices among the national seafood restaurant chains weren't perceived as varying all that much," he said. "Landry's won out based on the variety of selections offered and their quality, as well as dining atmosphere."
