BestEver.com Names Buick As America's Best Domestic Car Maker BestEver.com has selected Buick as America's best domestic car manufacturer for 2003-2004. The selection was based on Buick's quality, repair history, value, and dealer network. According to Joe Mierzwa, President of BestEver.com and its parent company ProSe Associates, Inc., "Buick received high ratings from consumers and automotive industry experts for its initial 'fit and finish,' as well as overall driver satisfaction. Buicks rated high for driver and passenger comfort and for ease of repairs, and its dealerships received good marks for providing consumers with quality service and a relaxed buying atmosphere." Mierzwa also noted that Buick did not over-promise or make claims about its cars that could be viewed as questionable by consumers. While other car makers received higher marks for styling, Buick's television ads emphasizing its history of groundbreaking designs scored well with consumers. "Many consumers remembered the commercials featuring legendary car designer Harley Earl and associated them with Buick," Mierzwa stated. "Buick's commercials featuring professional golfer Tiger Woods also received favorable reviews." Buick, a division of General Motors, is one of the world's oldest continually existing car badges.
